We're very pleased to present an exciting night-time walk with Raggaphoto.

Working in and around Manchester, Raggaphoto like to find the darkest, grittiest locations for their take on contemporary graffiti. Leaving no remnants, needing no alter-egos to protect their identities, Raggaphoto use the medium of light to paint the city. Their work challenges the norm of conventional photography and graffiti replacing paint with light.

Using various light sources including torches, flashlights, fairy lights, strip lights, cold cathodes, the torch has replaced the paintbrush and the photograph has replaced the canvas. Using long exposure techniques and their love of art they have combined the two to create their take on photography.

Kyle Saxton, a keen photographer who enjoys finding exciting, whilst enigmatic compositions for new work, has studied Visual Arts at the University of Salford. This is where he gained experience in photography and film making and gathered the skills to perfect his light graffiti.

Marcus Ali, up and coming artist and designer, is very meticulous in his approach to aesthetics, he strives to perfect the final shot. With any spare time spent drawing and designing, he also has a keen interest in tattoo art, which has assisted him in accomplishing his goals visually.

Please bring tripod and waterproofs!

Meet at Chinese Arts Centre, Market Buildings, Thomas Street, Manchester M4 1EU, for a short presentation by Raggaphoto before starting the walk.
